Hybrid Trekking Bike – TThe word ‘hybrid’ in the world of bicycles (not to be confused with ‘hybrid’ cars) is simply used to describe a manual bicycle that can be used on a variety of surfaces, road and light off-road trails. Ideally suited for short to mid distance rides of around 20 to 50miles (30 to 80 kms) per day. Our hybrid bikes feature a front suspension fork for a more comfortable ride on uneven surfaces, a wide range of gears to tackle climbs, and grippy tyres and hydraulic disc brakes help provide control and reliable stopping power.

Our fleet of hybrid bikes consists of models including Cube ‘Nature’, Trek ‘Dual Sport’ and Marin ‘San Rafael’ ranging in sizes from XS to XXL Suitable for riders between 4’11”(148cm) and 6’5” (195cm) in height, with a maximum weight capacity of 125kgs (275 pounds) including luggage.

Hybrid/trekking bikes come fitted with mudguards, luggage rack and a bottle cage. Waterproof pannier (saddle) bags are available to hire with a combined capacity of approximately 45 litres per pair. Luggage racks are rated to 20kgs.

Gravel Bike – Gravel bikes have become very popular among adventure and commuter cyclists since their conception in the mid 2010’s. They have light alloy frames with carbon forks and feature drop handlebars, like a road bike. However, compared to road bikes, gravel bikes have a more relaxed frame angles, a shorter stem and wider handlebars offering comfort and precise handling. A lower gearing ratio and wider 35 to 40mm tyres and disc brakes allowing gravel bikes to be ridden confidently over a variety of road and light off-road surfaces over longer distances.

Our fleet of gravel bikes consist of models such as Ridley Kanzo, Felt Breed, Tifosi Rostra and Cube Nuroad. Ranging in sizes from XS to XXL, Suitable for riders between 5’0”(150cm) and 6’4” (193cm) in height, with a maximum weight capacity of 125kgs (275 pounds) including luggage

Bikes come fitted with mudguards and bottle holders. Gravel bag sets including Frame, seat and handlebar bags offering approximately 23 litres of luggage space are also available to hire for bikepacking adventures (Please note; we are unable to fit luggage racks to our gravel bikes).

Pedal Assisted Electric Bike (E-Bike) – Helping the rider cycle fa and for longer distances. Our quality e-bikes feature reliable Bosch and Shimano Steps powered mid drive motors that assist the rider’s pedalling for distances of typically up to 60 miles/100 kms on a single charge. E-bikes have become very popular in recent years with cyclists looking for a less strenuous workout or to cycle longer… It really is just like riding a bike! Our stock e-bikes include brands such as Cube, Ridley, GT, Lappiere and Ortler. All e-bikes come fitted with mudguards and luggage racks.

Our electric pedal assist bicycles feature the latest e-bike motor technology and have an average range of 45 miles (75 kilometres). This is dependent on gradient, ambient temperature, weight of rider and luggage, wind and use of the bikes pedal assist function. However, the bike will still operate as a manual bicycle without battery power. For multiple day hire we will provide a battery charger, which requires a 230v power supply and will take approximately 4 hours to fully charge a battery from empty. Our e-bikes must be stored overnight in a dry secure place with the battery removed. Please note: The legal minimum age requirement is 14 years for riders using e-bikes on public cycle paths and roads in the UK.

Our ebikes are available in a range of sizes from XS to XL Suitable for riders between 4’11”(148cm) and 6’3” (190cm) in height, with a maximum weight capacity of 125kgs (275 pounds) including luggage.
