Freedom Bike Tour
Our Freedom bike tour is the ideal day out for cyclists who really want to get out into nature and be at one with some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery. Our route takes us along National Cycle Route 7, following a disused railway once used by Victorian tourists travelling to Oban and the Western Isles. We cycle through the heart of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, famous for its natural beauty, mountains, lochs and forests, it’s difficult not to be inspired by some of the most stunning Highland landscapes. It’s no wonder why this route is widely considered to be some of the most scenic cycling routes in the British Isles.
Highlights:
Balquhidder Glen and churchyard, location of Rob Roy’s grave. Mountains – Ben Ledi, Ben Vorlich and Ben Mhor. Lochs – Loch Lubnaig, Loch Earn and Loch Voil.
On route you will see The Kelpies, Stirling castle and Doune castle, Wallace Monument, the historic town of Callander… and very likely A Hairy Coo!
