We arrived in the lovely town of Riva Del Garda, situated on the North shore of Lake Garda, nestled in between the Italian Alps and Dolomite mountain ranges. After spending the first day getting to know the area, finding trails and bike hire, we found an absolute gem of a shop called the ‘Garda Bike Shop’

We are very proud to announce that due to the success of our ever popular bike tour, we have now expanded our workshop on the outskirts of Edinburgh near Penicuik in Midlothian, to offer bicycle servicing and repairs.

The 25th of May 2014 marks the anniversary of our first paid bike tour. I would first like to thank those first thank that first couple from California for putting up with a nervous wreck, and for buying lunch on that determining day.

I think one of the main reason Scotland didn’t qualify for the world cup, is because we were more focused in offering the nation a fun packed couple of month of cycling festivals and bike events.

We believe one of the main ingredients to providing a memorable bike tour around Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands, as well as good customer service, is to issue each individual member of the group with the correct tool for the job. To do this, over the past 4 years we’ve invested in almost 40 bicycles of various shapes and sizes.

While some of us are still eating turkey sandwiches, and packing away presents into the sock drawer, we at the Tartan Bicycle Company have been busy working on new bike tours and exciting new developments for 2015.
